There is a difference between being busy and being alive.
Life can become filled with responsibilities, routines, relationships, work, and endless things that need our attention. Somewhere along the way, we can forget the feeling of excitement that once made us leap out of bed in the morning.
Keeping your flame alive begins with remembering what makes you feel like you.
Your fire may be your creativity, your sexuality, your dreams, your curiosity, your independence, your spirituality, or simply the part of you that still wants to experience something new. Your flame doesn't have to look like anyone else's. It only needs to belong to you.
Sometimes we expect passion to arrive as a dramatic transformation. More often, it begins with something small. Put on the music that changes your mood. Wear something that makes you feel beautiful. Take yourself somewhere you've never been. Dance in your kitchen. Call someone who makes you laugh. Start the project you've been talking about for years.
Follow the spark.
Keeping your flame alive also means protecting it. Not everyone deserves access to your energy. Some relationships nourish you; others leave you feeling depleted. Some environments encourage you to grow; others continually convince you to become smaller.
Pay attention to how you feel after spending time with people. Pay attention to what happens to your energy when you enter certain spaces. Your intuition often recognizes what your mind is still trying to explain.
As a psychic medium and tarot reader with more than 20 years of experience, I have seen how often people come to a reading feeling disconnected from the person they used to be. They aren't necessarily looking for someone to tell them what to do. They are looking for a reminder that their fire is still there.
And it is.
Maybe it has simply been resting.
You don't have to reinvent your entire life to reignite your flame. Give yourself permission—yes, permission—to experience pleasure, curiosity, adventure, laughter, and desire without needing a practical reason for it.
Ask yourself:
What makes me feel alive?
Then do a little more of that.
Your flame doesn't need to burn wildly every day. Some days it will roar. Some days it will glow quietly beneath the ashes. Both are part of being human.
The goal isn't to perform passion for the world.
The goal is to stay connected to the part of yourself that still wants to dance.
So turn up the music.
Take the adventure.
Follow the spark.
And remember:
Your fire wasn't meant to sit still.
